Processing of Cotton Seed Cleaning:

• The cottonseed is fed into the Pneumatic Cleaners where the seed passess over shaker separator and is free form unginned cotton, sand and heavy impurites
• It is lifted pneumatically in a vacuum aspiration unit and in this process all other impurities of the size of cottonseed butheavier in weight are dropped and only cleaned cotton seed is discharged through a vacuum feeder
• This process is cottonseed cleaning and the cottonseed is fairly free form impurities
• The seed moved into huller which has got rotating knives over fixed knives and the seed is fed into this through proper regulated feeder and the seed is cut between the two rotating and stationery knives
• Such broken seed is shaked well in the shaker separator and the meant and hulls are separated out so that the meat can be send to the oil mill for extraction
• The hulls are picked up along with cottonseed that is uncut and sent to hull and seed separator for recovering uncut seed
• Such uncut seed goes back to seed cleaner
• The hulls are vacuumed from the hull and seed seperator to the Hull Beater which is also a mechanical beating device
• In this machine any possible particles of meat that are carried over by hulls are recovered and sent to the oil mill
• These machines ensure least possible oil loss in the hulls
• All the necessary machines are inter connected with proper mechanical conveyors and elevator as well as pneumatic conveyors
• The operation is continuous operation and is almost automatic with the main raw material viz. cottonseed entering the plant and the by product viz lint, hulls and meant taken out in a continuous manner at different discharge points
